Founded by teen entrepreneurs, Marc Baghadjian (Babson College), Mason O’Hanlon (Babson College) and Winnie McCabe (Brown University), Skippit is attracting Gen Z users from college campuses in select cities, and gunning to make video calling a first choice for young adults looking for emotional connections.
No longer is an online profile the only way to see how attracted you are to a potential match. Now, through the use of video, date-seekers can connect on their computer or smartphone and experience a first date without leaving the comforts of their home.
Disrupting the traditional online dating world, Skippit is committed to creating more intimate interactions for its users and eliminating the chance of being catfished.
Since launching the company less than two years ago, Skippit has attracted 10,000 active users, helped to make 7,500 matches and raised its first round of funding.
